Dhanya Mary Varghese (born September 17, 1983) is an Indian actress known for her performances in Malayalam cinema. She is also a model, dancer and a live performer.

Biography[edit]
Dhanya Mary Varghese was born to Varghese and Sheeba at Idayar, Koothattukulam near Muvattupuzha, Kerala, India. She has a younger brother, Dikson.[1] She completed schooling at Little Flower Girls High School, Vadakara, St. Josephs Higher secondary school, Piravom and M.K.M. Higher Secondary School, Piravom. She is the product of famous institution Kalabhavan.[2] She pursued bachelors and post graduation from St. Teresa's College in Kochi.[3] She came to the Malayalam movie industry as a junior artist, She was one of the group dancers in the song Thottuvilichalo.. in the movie Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam.She made her acting debut in the Tamil film Thirudi (2006) and later debuted in Malayalam through Nanma directed by Sharath Chandran Vayanad. She rose to prominence through her role in Thalappavu. She later acted in several Malayalam films such as Vairam: Fight For Justice, Kerala Cafe and Nayakan. She was one of the anchors in 'Vanitha Asianet-Film awards 2009'. She appeared on several Malayalam musical albums. She appeared as a guest judge in the 2010 season of the music reality-television program Idea Star Singer on Asianet.
Personal life[edit]
Dhanya got engaged on 14 November 2011 with John, Winner of Tharolsavam program in Kairali channel.[4][5] John and Dhanya got married on 9 January 2012 at Mateer Memorial Church, Trivandrum. After marriage she retired from film industry. The couple was blessed with a baby boy named Johan on 13 July 2013.[6]

Dhanya Balakrishna (born August 6, 1991) is a South Indian actress who has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. After making her debut in A. R. Murugadoss's 7am Arivu (2011), she appeared in ventures including Gautham Menon's Neethaane En Ponvasantham (2012), Atlee's Raja Rani (2013) and Srikanth Addala's Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013). Dhanya made her debut as female lead in Telugu with 'Chinni Chinni Aasa' (2013).

Dhanya Balakrishna is a Tamilian born and raised in Bangalore. She studied Psychology, Economics and English Literature in her graduation before doing her Masters in Film Studies in Chennai.
She began her acting career with performances in theatre, before being signed on to play a supporting role in A. R. Murugadoss's 7aum Arivu (2011) alongside Suriya and Shruti Haasan.[1] She was next seen in two bilingual projects, portraying supporting roles - Balaji Mohan's Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi (2012) and then Gautham Menon's Neethaane En Ponvasantham (2012).
She portrayed supporting role in the 2013 Telugu film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu as a girl who proposes to the character played by Mahesh Babu; while in Raja Rani (2013), she was seen as Nivetha, a friend of Nayantara's character. Her first venture in a leading role, the Telugu film Chinni Chinni Aasa (2013), was released in November 2013, while other projects, Chandamama Lo Amrutham and Second Hand, were released thereafter.[2]
